LA STRADA DEI LIBRI PASSA DA… parchi, musei e storie imperdibili

A summer series to share the joy of reading while rediscovering unmissable places and stories!

La strada dei libri passa da… is a summer programme for children and families that brings together theatre performances, staged readings, music workshops, special museum visits and many other activities.

The idea behind the initiative is to take books out of the library and let them “walk” towards theatres, museums, cinemas, media libraries, music centres, parks, gardens and even… people’s homes! A new road, made of stories, reaching a variety of places and combining the pleasure of shared reading with other forms of art and the most diverse cultural settings.

Led by Damatrà onlus, the project connects the promotion of reading with other cultural initiatives taking place throughout the local area, with the aim of creating synergies that can support the growth of the wider community. It offers a rich programme of activities entrusted to the cultural professionals of Crescere Leggendo, for a summer filled with stories, emotions and discoveries.

Every year, the initiative involves dozens of organisations and cultural venues, based on the belief that children should be encouraged to explore reading through a wide variety of approaches and settings. They can take on different roles, becoming readers, listeners, participants or performers, because the contexts in which readings take place play a crucial role in enriching the experience.
